Chihuahuas Baseball is Back! Home Opener Thursday
Chihuahuas Baseball is Back! After 20 months without a first pitch at Southwest University Park, Opening Day presented by Stouffers for the Chihuahuas takes place on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 7:05 p.m. at Southwest University Park. The Chihuahuas will take on the Albuquerque Isotopes (Colorado Rockies), the start of a six-game series.
El Paso Chihuahuas pitcher MacKenzie Gore is scheduled to start on Opening Night, May 13, at Southwest University Park. Gore is ranked the #1 prospect in the San Diego Padres organization and the #1 pitching prospect in all of baseball. He was the third overall pick in the 2017 amateur draft. The El Paso Chihuahuas played their best game of the season Sunday and beat the Tacoma Rainiers 5-1 in Tacoma. The Chihuahuas have a 2-2 record through the season’s first four games.

The new features, some of which took effect during the Locomotive 2020 season, look to improve overall guest satisfaction. Now Nitro Circus will bring the high-flying You Got This tour to El Paso for a Saturday, October 23rd show at Southwest University Park.
