Chihuahuas Recipient of Prestigious Baseball America’s Triple-A Freitas Award
This marked the first time the Chihuahuas have been presented the Freitas Award and the second time the Chihuahuas were recognized in 2020, receiving the Golden Bobblehead in September for Best Community Event. (12/7/2020)
Chico Makes His Mark on El Paso, Completes 400 Parades & Zoom Appearances in 2020
El Paso's favorite mascot raised more than $10,000 for the El Paso Chihuahuas Foundation via birthday & graduation parades around El Paso and was a frequent classmate on Zoom calls.

Chihuahuas Hosted Virtual & Socially Distanced Events in 2020
Either virutally or socially-distanced, the Chihuahuas were able to bring the community to together, hosting Father's Day Catch on the Field presented by Bank of America, 9-1-5K presented by Texas Gas Service, & Movie Night at the Ballpark presented by Texas Gas Service.

Chihuahuas Celebrated Opening Day at Home
The El Paso Chihuahuas celebrated a virtual Opening Day at Home on Tuesday, April 14 that included a live rebroadcast of the home opener from the 2016 Pacific Coast League Championship season, giveaways and commentary by Tim Hagerty, the voice of the Chihuahuas. (4/13/2020)
Chihuahuas and L&F Distributors Released Co-Branded Beer Can
The El Paso Chihuahuas and L&F Distributors, a Founding Corporate Partner and the official beer partner for Southwest University Park, released a co-branded Budweiser can featuring the Chihuahuas logo. The Chihuahuas became the first Minor League Baseball team to be featured on a Budweiser can. (2/21/2020)
El Paso Locomotive FC Caps Stellar Second USL Championship Campaign
Through its second season, Locomotive turned heads with a second consecutive run to the Western Conference Final – a feat that has only been accomplished by two other teams since 2015. In the first two years of Locomotive’s existence, Head Coach Mark Lowry has built a culture in the locker room that aims for success with a level of grit and tenacity that has resulted in incredible wins.
Lucky Fan is First to Win Casa Ford Lincoln's Flatbed Challenge
Locomotive Season Ticket Member Richard Garcia became the first and only winner of the Casa Flatbed Challenge during the Locomotive game on September 27. After successfully kicking a soccer ball into the bed of a Ford-150 Raptor during halftime, Garcia was notified that he would be the recipient of a 12-month lease on a truck courtesy of Casa Ford!

MountainStar Sports Group Women React to Kim Ng's Hiring
The Marlins pledged to build as diverse an organization as possible. They made history by announcing Kim Ng as their new general manager. Ng is the first woman to become an MLB general manager. She is also believed to be the first woman hired as a GM by any major professional men's team in North American sports. (11/16/2020)
